(Note: This is part one of two in my posts about Universal Studios Japan. Part two is on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I took so many photos that if I put it all in one post, you couldn’t get through it in a whole day 😛 )
We went to Universal Studios Japan (USJ) on 4 September 2015. September is usually a rainy month in Japan, so I think the sun and clouds have favored us that day, and gave us nice sunny weather, perfect for a day at the theme park.
To get to USJ, we rode the train on the JR Loop Line. The nearest JR station near us was Shin-imamiya station, so we rode the train to Nishiku-jo station. Then we had to transfer to a different train to go to Universal City station, the station in front of Universal Studios.
There were A LOT of people there when we got off the train. I thought there would only be few people around since we came there early. But then again, we went there on a Friday and USJ is so popular that there really must be lots of people any time or any day.
After getting off the train, you still had to walk for a couple of minutes before getting to Universal Studios. But there were lots of cool buildings and shops there to get you excited for USJ as you walked. 😉
And finally, arriving at Universal Studios itself!
Once you enter, one of the first things you’ll be seeing is the iconic Universal Studios globe.
And now onto the theme park itself:
I spotted these Minion popcorn holders on the floor. These were selling out fast and lots of people were walking around with them. I took a quick photo of these Minions because they looked like they were in a world of their own, not minding the humans, and having their own adorable incomprehensible conversation 😉
After several hours of walking around (it was really tiring, and I think this is a given and something that doesn’t need to be said, but I’ll say it anyway: when going to USJ, wear comfortable shoes! Your feet will thank you for it 😉 ) and enjoying our time in Universal Studios, it was finally time to head back. But we had one more stop before we go:
Jump Shop was a store dedicated to Shonen Jump anime & manga series, like One Piece, Naruto, and Haikyuu. Being the anime fans that we were, we decided to go for a visit.
So that’s it for Universal Studios Japan! There are actually a lot more photos I’ve taken, but I really don’t think I can fit them all in this blog post. 😛 However, this is only part one of my USJ blog post series, next up is: the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
Universal Studios Japan is open everyday, with varying hours. You can check here for the schedule of their opening and closing hours for the date when you’ll be going there.
